The size of the paint definitely reduced as it dried. Each pan has a magnetic bottom so they can stay in place within the pallete. Not used or swatched; I filled the pans but never used them. The quality is really comparable to Daniel Smith and Schmincke Horadam. I've done a lot of illustration work with this brand of paints.
